The times given are start times for each session. There will be space between planned activities for informal conversation, relaxation and refreshments.

Friday 30 March:  Introduction

  4.00 pm Registration until 5.45pm. Please arrive as early as possible to avoid a late rush. Tea and light refreshments will be available.

  7.00 pm Introductory talk by Thich Nhat Hanh: Enjoying our Time Together
  9.00 pm Participants depart

 

Saturday 31 March:  Self-care techniques for teachers

  8.00 am Guided sitting meditation with Thich Nhat Hanh. Participants are encouraged to make every effort to attend sitting meditation as we start the day together - Latecomers will have the opportunity to practice sitting meditation in an overflow room.
  8.30 am Breakfast
  9.15 am Introductory talk: Taking care of the Teacher

  1.30 pm Option to travel in groups to Trafalgar Square to join the group there (Tube travel not included in retreat price).
  2.30 pm Sit in Peace: Thich Nhat Hanh will be speaking inTrafalgar Square and leading a public meditation
  4.00 pm Return by Tube to The American School
  5.00 pm Total Relaxation (lying down meditation)
  6.00 pm Dinner
  7.00 pm Discussion and sharing groups
