The 5 Mindfulness Trainings are guidelines that support us in realising our aspiration of living a meaningful and happy life in a spirit of non-harming. They help us move in the direction of goodness and beauty.
In order to create a safe and healthy environment for everyone at the retreat, we ask each participant to follow the Five Mindfulness Trainings for those six days. In brief:
• To respect life and refrain from killing
• To respect other people’s property and refrain from stealing
• To respect others and refrain from sexual activity
• To speak the truth and refrain from lying
• To encourage health and refrain from intoxicants (including alcohol, tobacco and drugs)
