Access

Nottingham Conferences is committed to providing an accessible site, and we aspire to making the retreat accessible to all. University Park Campus covers a hilly parkland site, however, so walking meditation outside can be challenging for people with certain kinds of mobility impairments.

There are a limited number of wheelchair accessible bedrooms, and there are level access bedrooms on the ground floor. Please let us know on the booking form if you need one of these.

The halls of residence where we will be staying and taking our meals are 300 – 1000 metres from the Conference Centre where all the retreat activities will take place. If you have a mobility difficulty, please ask on the booking form for a room in the nearest hall.

There is ample free parking outside the Conference Centre, where people with no mobility difficulties will be encouraged to leave their cars. There are blue/orange badge spaces outside each building – please ask on the booking form to reserve one of these. There is limited parking outside each hall of residence – please let us know when you arrive at the retreat if you need to drive between the hall and the Conference Centre.  See Venue map.

If you have a disability and will be coming with a personal assistant, please book at the same time as a ‘group’. This will help us  make sure we can give you adjacent bedrooms. There are a limited number of places available at a reduced rate for PAs. We are unable to provide PAs.
