We will offer an optional Young Adults’ programme for those aged roughly 16-32 years. The younger ones in this age range can choose between this and the teens’ programme, and everyone can choose to participate in the adult programme instead.
The Young Adults’ programme will offer activities in the morning, afternoon and evening, including some main retreat events, such as meditation and the talk each day.
Active, physical, creative and fun ways to explore Thich Nhat Hanh’s teachings that are especially suited to young people will be offered. We will do this through yoga, chi-gong, dance, singing, art and, most importantly, games, led by monks and nuns from Plum Village, and younger members of The Community of Interbeing.
The programme will also offer a good opportunity for young people to share issues relevant to them. We will be sensitive to encouraging people to fall into age groups that suit them and their stage in life. This is likely to be around 16-22 and 22-32.
