Sit in Peace with Thich Nhat Hanh
Sit in Peace was a resounding success.
Thousands of people gathered together to sit in peace and be guided by Thay. Thay then gave a talk on the four mantras, which you can read more about in his books “True Love: A Practice for Awakening The Heart” and “Teachings on Love”.
The hour ended with the Plum Village monastics chanting the name of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Great Compassion, who represents the capacity for awakened understanding and compassion in each of us.
You can view the pictures on Wake Up London’s Facebook page.
An official film of the event will be released soon. However you can view this footage in the meantime.
Thank you to everyone who offered their gift of peace on the day.
Young lay practitioners in London will be putting a section dedicated to Sit in Peace on their website and invite you to share your experiences of the event.
